Senior Manager Supply Chain Planning

We are now seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning to lead site planning operations critical to seasonal influenza, pandemic response, and Products of National Significance.

This is a senior leadership role with significant influence across site and global supply chain functions, ensuring our manufacturing and planning capabilities meet both immediate and long‑term demand.

This role will be based in Tullamarine.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Site Supply Chain, you will lead and develop a high‑performing Supply Chain Planning team, supporting robust S&OP execution and long‑range capacity planning across a complex, regulated manufacturing environment.

You will play a pivotal role in balancing demand and supply, optimizing inventory and working capital, and ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical products that protect communities globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Supply Chain Planning across direct materials, production, and capacity planning for seasonal, pandemic and PNS supply.

• Own and execute the site S&OP plan (0–36 months), while contributing to long‑term strategic capacity planning (4–10 years).

• Identify, negotiate, and resolve demand and supply imbalances across volume and mix.

• Drive strong financial outcomes, including inventory optimization, COGS, P&L awareness, and working capital performance.

• Set site inventory policies, including minimum/maximum stock levels and pandemic stockpiling strategies.

• Ensure a state of readiness for regulatory inspections (TGA, FDA, EMEA, Medsafe), leading timely CAPA implementation.

• Promote continuous improvement, simplifying processes and embedding best practice across planning operations.

• Recruit, coach and develop a diverse planning team (6–7 direct reports), fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.

• Partner closely with site leadership, global supply chain teams, and external suppliers and CMOs.

About You

You are a confident, commercially minded supply chain leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments and knows how to translate strategy into operational excellence.

Your Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering or a related discipline (APICS certification preferred).

• 7+ years’ experience in supply chain management, logistics or planning roles, ideally within pharmaceuticals, biologics or regulated manufacturing.

• Proven experience leading and developing teams across varied capability levels.

• Strong technical understanding of Supply Chain Planning, S&OP, and ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).

• Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP environments and global regulatory requirements.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels locally and globally.

• A proactive, agile mindset with a track record of anticipating and mitigating supply and capacity risks.
